Events
- February 9th: Franco-German agreement on the Morocco.
- March 15th: First general strike in the public administration: the agents of the postal and telecommunications authorities, post-office employees and telegraphists, require a new regulation of the profession and the resignation of their partial trusteeship. Striking fact, of the ladies employed with the telegraph and the telephone take part in the strike which is prolonged several days.
- Mars: Refusal of the right to strike to the civils servant, reaffirmed with the House of Commons by the Minister for postal and telecommunications authorities Louis Barthou.
- April 10th: Law on HLM.
- April 18th: Beatification of Jeanne d' Arc by the pope Black and white X.
- May: Second strike at the postal and telecommunications authorities. Many sanctions strike the strikers. The trade unionism post-office employee enracine however.
- June 11th: the most fatal Earthquake that France at the 20th century (46 victims) in Provence knew, towards 9:00 of the evening. The epicentre is located on the Faille of Trévaresse.
- July 17th: Leon Jouhaux is elected general secretary of the CGT.
- July 20th: Put in minority at the Room, Clemenceau resigns.
- July 24th: Aristide Briand President of the Council (1).
- July 30th: Creation by Eugene Schueller of the French company of Inoffensive Dyeings for Hair, future Group L'Oreal.
- July 25th: First crossing of the Handle in the plane by Louis Blériot.
- August 22nd: opening of the " Great week of the aviation" with Bétheny.
