Both Kazakh of the team Astana, Andrey Kashechkin and Alexandre Vinokourov, arrived together at the top of the Sierra of Pandera. This last leaves the victory with its fellow-member, Andrey Kashechkin, and reinforces its place of leader to general classification by relegating Alejandro Valverde to 32 seconds.
