Biography of the group
In 1990, Mark Knopfler decides to mark a pause in the adventure Dire Straits. It joins together three as of his friends, from which inseparable the Guy Fletcher, and forms the group: The Notting Hillbillies. The first album, which explores the territories of the Blues and of the Country is made public this same year: " Missing… presumed having has good time ". Success is immense, to the great displeasure musicians who did not seek success. The members decide then, in a common agreement, to put an end to the adventure. The group however met in several occasions at the time of events, like concerts of charity. A round in 12 concerts was in particular organized in 1997 in the United Kingdom.
