20 - June 30th: The Territoires of the North-West receive a legislative Parliament substituted for the Council of the North-West. She inaugurates a policy of propaganda to encourage colonization. Starting from 1890, when the United States is not any more able to offer free ground concessions, the emigration is diverted towards the Canadian Meadow.
