- March 8th: The lieutenat-governor Luc Letellier de Saint-Just dislocates his function the Prime Minister for Quebec Charles-Eugene Boucher of Boucherville. This situation was described as coup d'etat
- May 1st: Québécois General election.
- May 8th: The liberal Henri-Gustave Jolly de Lotbinière becomes Prime Minister for Quebec. Installation of sound government.
- September 17th: Victoire of the conservatives to the legislative .
