June 25th, Alibaud shot at the king who left Tileries in the car. Never death passed more close to its head. This attempted murder was more serious and disturbed the public. Alibaud is of all those which wanted to make an attempt on its life the only one to which one lent quelquesuns feelings of the serious assassin. At least the democratic writers, including M {{me}} Sand, tried to give him determination and weight lines. I believe that they flattered it. There are certainly famous assassins whose historical attitude alder left dignity; The assassin of prince d' Orange, that of the duke of Buckingham, perhaps that of the duke of Berri. The dépravés cut-throats, or rather kids, who threatened the days of king Louis-Philippe degraded the assassination. ”

Uncertainties of the ministry and its final decision occupied the public. Approval was not general.
