Event

January 1st: Independence of Haiti.
February 25th: Creation of the administration of the joined together Right .
February 29th: Discovered plot of Cadoudal.
March 13rd: Establishment of 12 schools of Right to deliver the license in right and the Capacity in right.
March 20th: Execution of the duke of Enghien. Shown plot, removed in Bade, he is considered and carried out in Vincennes.
March 21st: Promulgation of the Civil code French, written by Tronchet, Maleville, Portalis and Religious bigot of Preameneu. Its field of application is the whole of the territory: it institutes the civil wedding and the divorce. The family is the base of the company. The father is the chief: the woman is treated into minor and the management of its goods is entrusted to her husband, the children can be thrown in prison in the event of disobedience and are subjected to the parental authority as regards marriage up to 25 years. The personal property is full and whole. Any long-term contract or of subordination is prohibited. The right to test is limited: the inheritance must be divided in equal shares. Fixed rules in the contracts allow the development of the market economy.

May 19th: Napoleon I {{er}} restores the dignity of Marshal of France and names the 18 first Maréchaux of Empire.
May 20th: Opening of the Cemetery of the Father-Lachaise.
May 28th: Death sentence of Cadoudal and banishment of Moreau to perpetuity.
June 22nd: The religious congregations are subjected to authorization.
June 25th: Georges Cadoudal is guillotine with Paris.
July 10th: Return of Fouché to the ministry for the Police force.
July 11th: Talleyrand is named great chamberlain.
July 15th: Distribution of the first crosses of Legion of honor.
August 25th: 7 Fructidor year XII, creation by a decree of the General advice of the Highways Departments.
Night of February 1st to the December 2nd: Church wedding of Napoleon Bonaparte and Joséphine de Beauharnais, celebrated by the pope Black and white VII.
December 2nd: Crown Napoleon 1 {{er}} with Notre-Dame by Pie VII.
December 14th:

Renewal of alliance with the Spain.
Creation of the working booklet by the decree of the 22 frimaire year XII, which makes it possible to supervise displacements of the workmen.

Structure

Napoleon request with his architects Charles Percier and Pierre Fontaine to transform Paris on the model of the sumptuous architecture of imperial Rome in order to make of it the most prestigious capital of Europe (Triumphal arch of the Carousel and opening of the Street of Rivoli). Work begins in 1806.
