Events

  • January 27th: Law of the 7 pluviôse year IX, instituting the secrecy of the instruction.
  • February 2nd: the Congregation is joined together with Paris by the former father Jesuit Jean Baptiste Bourdier-Delpuits.
  • February 7th: The 18 pluviôse, creation of special courts in 32 disturbed departments. During the vote of these laws, a rupture between Brumairiens appears, disappointed to see isolated capacity, and Bonaparte.
  • February 9th: Peace of Lunéville with the Austria.
  • March 21st: The national debt is reduced by the finance law of the 30 ventôse year IX; the goods given to the creditors of the State are taken again and converted into revenue 5% paid in cash.
  • March 28th: Creation of the Frankly Germinal .
  • July 15th: Legal settlement between France and the Pope Black and white VII. Catholicism becomes religion “of the majority of the French”.
  • July 17th: beginning of the procedure of validation of the project of Civil code French worked out by Jean-Jacques-Governed of Cambacérès.
  • be-autumn: Liquidation of the Chouannerie.
  • September 18th: Exposure of national industry in the court of the Louvre.

  • Bad harvest: raise involving prices of the riots of the hunger.
  • Census: 27  349  631 inhabitants in France.
  • Commercial treaty with Naples (March) and the Russia (October).
  • Creation of bankruptcy courts of districts.
  • the trade-circuits are revived, the rural producers and the owners starting again to buy industrial products.
