  • July 24th: Foundation of a counter French with Detroit in the current Michigan enters the lakes Huron Érié and under the name of Fort Ponchartrain.
  • August 4th: Signature of the Grande peace of Montreal, peace treaty enters the French and the Iroquois in News-France (North America). The Five Nations iroquoises promise to remain neutral in possible wars between English and French.

  • Beginning of the reign of Ntare I {{er}}, king of the Burundi (v. 1700 - 1725).
  • disastrous Forwarding of Mulay Ismaïl, sultan of the Morocco, against the regency of Algiers.

Asia

  • April 21st: The Daimyô , Asano Naganori, is condemned by the Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi to the ritual suicide ( Seppuku ) to have attacked Kira Yoshinaka (1641-1703), Master of the ceremonies of the house of the shogun, which had insulted it. The 47 rōnin decide to avenge it by killing Kira the December 15th 1702.

  • French Establishment with Calicut.

Europe

  • constitutional Provisions limiting the tax prerogatives of the king in England. It also reduce its possibilities of entering in war in the name of the Hanover without the assent of the Parliament. They guarantee the independence of the judges after their nomination.

Religion
