- on December 2nd, 1805 with Austerlitz, is in the 3 {{E}} Division of Dragons, ordered by the major general Beaumont (absent for disease replaced by the brigadier general Boyé), 2nd brigade (brigadier general Nicolas Joseph Scalfort). The 16th Regiment of Dragons is with 242 men in 3 squadrons, under the orders of colonel François-Marie Clement of Roncière.
- on February 8th, 1807, with Eylau, is found in the cavalry of reserve under the orders of the King-Marshal Joachim Murat, Beaumont division, brigade the Turn-Maubourg.
XXe century
- 1914, in deposit with Rheims, fact part of the 3rd brigade of dragons.
- in 1967 has as tanks of the AMX 13 (biography NATO of the Lieutenant-General Paul Addy, CM, CD, Canadian officer)
