Thursday January 9th: Letter of A. Dettonville, pseudonym of Pascal, with Mr. Huyghens de Zulichem.
- January 13rd: Departure of the court of Lyon.
- January 14th: Died of the duke of Nemours, husband of Marie of Orleans-Longueville, duchess of Nemours.
- Mid-January: Miss share to make a stay from 7 to 8 days, by giving up the convoy of the court.
- January 20th: Addition following the history of the caster .
- January 25th: Rochefoucauld gives its Portrait by itself in the second edition of the collective collection published by Miss of Montpensier under the title of Recueil of the portraits and praises in worms and prose . Completed to print is of January 25th, 1659. It is the first work of Rochefoucauld; it meets with Madam of Fayette, which gives, in the same collection, a portrait of Madam de Sévigné.

- Thursday February 6th: Return of the court to Paris.

- February 9th: Day of the Kings. Mazarin expels the duchess of Nemours and the princess of Carignan of the hotel of Soissons (in the place of current the Produce exchange in Paris) and they have order of " to make prompt retirement " with Pontoise. - June 11th: Died of Philippe II of Coulanges, uncle and tutor of Madam de Sévigné.

- September 28th: Fouquet, accompanied by Gourville and at the request of Mazarin, will join the court with Bordeaux. It is a question of determining which free gift will be claimed in October in the States of Languedoc.

- October 6th: Departure of the court of Bordeaux for Toulouse where it arrives the 14.
- October 14th: Arrival of the court with Toulouse. It remains there until December 27th.
- October 16th: With Marseilles, an order of the king is torn in full town hall. Insolence without precedent in a very disobedient city however.
- October 16th: Fouquet arrives at Saint-Jean-with-Luz.
- October 17th: Fouquet sees the cardinal .
- October 18th: The following day mande with Colbert to be well with Fouquet.
- October 20th: Fouquet sets out again of Saint-Jean-with-Luz. It joined the court with Bordeaux which it follows to Toulouse to ask the states a free gift of 2 million, 1 million at the cities and 150 000 pounds for the maintenance of the places of the Roussillon.

- December 27th: Departure of the court of Toulouse for Montpellier where it arrives on January 5th, 1660.
- December 29th: Fouquet buys the Château of Largoët and the park (5 kilometers of circumference) of Elven.
