Friday January 11th: When the king is with most badly, at the time of a supper at the duke of Orleans, in the presence of the River, one would have drunk openly with the health of the duke of Orleans, which inherited the throne if the king passed. The cardinal approaches at once Condé and the army of Flanders entrusts to him.

It is only in January 1647 that Mazarin makes come nephews and nieces from Rome: the first forwarding includes/understands: Anne-Marie Martinozzi, Paul Mancini, Laure Mancini and Olympe Mancini. They make initially a stay with Lyon where they are entrusted to learn the language and the manners in Mrs. de Venel (Marie Gaillard) wife from an adviser at the Parliament of Aix. This lady serves to them as controlling for approximately six months.

- February-April: Discusses with Jacques Forton, sior of Saint-Angel, that Pascal and his Hallé friends of Monflaines and Auzoult shows to support theses close to the heresy.

- Thursday July 18th: Michel Particelli d' Émery becomes Surintendant of finances.

- Nani, ambassador of Venice, observes that Mazarin has of only one blow or almost the Grey hair. Nani sees there the effect of the bad year 1647.
- Saturday August 10th: Died of Faucion de Ris, first president of the Parlement of Rouen, faintness which follows the observation which they were thirteen with table.
September
- Saturday September 7th: Recording of the Edict of the Tariff, taken one year earlier: strong increase in the rights of Granting. The Parlement request again in vain that its application is limited to the commercial rich person of the Six-Bodies.
- September 11th: Arrived at Paris of Laure Mancini, which will become duchess of Mercoeur.
- 23 - September 24th: visits of Descartes to Pascal.

Wednesday October 2nd:
- Rendering of Lens.
- Died of the marshal of Gassion, wounded of a blow of mousquet to the head office of Lens whereas it tried to tear off a pile of palisade. Or 3.
- new Experiments concerning the vacuum of Pascal.
November
- 2 - November 28th: Falls ill of a quartan fever to the seat of Lérida, voyage of Bussy until the Burgundy.
- November 11th: sick Louis XIV, beginning of a Small pox. Or the 10 (source: Memories of the duchess of Nemours).
- November 18th: Birth of Pierre Bayle.
