America

- May 27th: Khayr AD-DIN Barberousse takes Peñon of Algiers to the Spaniards. It makes shave the fortress and employs the stones to build the mole of the wearing of Algiers. The Turkish fleet makes of it its usual refuge in this part of the Mediterranean.
Asia

The West Indies
- the Portuguese destroy the maritime power of the States indonésiens, but cannot control their territorial bases and the production of spices. To Sumatra, they make from the agreements with the sultan of Atjeh which provides them pepper. To Java, they manage to occupy inter alia States those of Gressik, Panarukan and Cheribon. They seize Timor, but must compose in the east of Java with the kingdom of Demak, which must yield its ports but remains independent. The west of Java is held by the sultanate of Bantam, which is the largest pepper warehouse of the Indonesia. - May 10th: The Turkish army leaves Constantinople to invade the Hungary.
- June: Treaty of Barcelona between the pope and Charles Quint. The pontifical State is consolidated and the pope and the emperor are combined against the heretics and the Moslems.
- 8 - June 26th: Swiss war between catholics and Protestants in . Peace of Kappel between Zwingli and Swiss catholics.
- August 3rd: Peace of Cambric or Peace of the Ladies, negotiated by Louise of Savoy and Marguerite of Austria. François Ier must marry Éléonore de Habsbourg (July 1530), to yield the Tournésis and the bailliage of Hesdin, to give up its suzerainty on the Flanders and Artois and to give up its rights on the Italy while Charles Quint returns the children of France retained as an hostage against ransom, gives up the Burgundy, the counties of Auxerre and Mâcon, with the seigniory of the Bar-on-Seine and the cities of the Somme.

- Charles Quint arrives in Italy. It meets the pope Clément VII to erase the after-effects of the Sac of Rome. The December 23rd, a treaty restores peace: Florence becomes stronghold of Empire. The Duché of Milan is returned to the Sforza and remains stronghold of Empire.

- February: Synod of Örebro, in Sweden. Suppression of a certain number of traditional rites, in particular masses and blessings for the late ones.

aristocratic Revolt against the absolutism in Sweden (Västergötland). The insurrectionists, directed by Tre Rosor and several bishops, succeed in holding some captive time the king Gustav Vasa and his/her sister Margareta af Höya. The royal reaction of the forces is fast and violent repression.
British Isles
- Henry VIII of England congédie the cardinal Wolsey unable to obtain its divorce.
- Henri VIII, éprend of Anne Boleyn. All his/her children died, except for Marie, born in 1516 and the queen Catherine d' Aragon is too old to have others of them. The pope Clément VII entrusts the file of the divorce to two legates, the Wolsey cardinals and Campeggio. The June 18th, the legates hear Henri and Catherine. The queen refuses any conciliation and fact call to the pope who refuses the divorce.
- the cardinal Thomas Wolsey sees his mandate of legate suspended under the pressure of Charles Quint. After its failure in the business of the divorce, under the pressure of its enemies, it is replaced with the businesses by Thomas More and dies shortly after (1530).
- Thomas Cranmer gains the favor of Henri VIII while suggesting to him more not awaiting cancellation by Rome of its marriage with the queen Catherine d' Aragon, but submitting the question of the legality of this union to the university scholars. Cranmer is named archdeacon of Taunton, becomes royal chaplain and obtains a station in the house to sir Thomas Boleyn, count of Wiltshire, father of Anne Boleyn, noble English which was going to become the second woman of Henri VIII.
