150 Is 150001 to 150195
The Decapod series 13 numbers 150001 to 150195 are locomotive with vapor built by SACM with Graffenstaden for 72 machines, by the company Fives-Lille for 107 machines and by the company White-Misseron for 16 machines of 1926 with 1931 for the Compagnie of the railroads of the East. They were the reproduction of the 150 Is 5201 to 5206 (future: 1-150 D 201 to 206 ) after adaptation to the standards of the East by the chief engineer Mr. F. Duchatel.
Service
On the East
Conceived as the reproduction with the tackles of the East of the 150 Is 5201 to 5206 (future: 1-150 D 201 to 206 ) and the G12.1 Al 5546 to 5562 (future: 1-150 B 546 to 562 ) they had the same possibilities as these last. However during tests with a G12.1 Al 5546 to 5562 (future: 1-150 B 546 to 562 ) and a 150 PO 6001 to 6070 (future: 4-150? ) of the Compagnie of the railroad from Paris to Orleans it proved that this one because of the compounding was shown more powerful while consuming less. One can thus be astonished by the construction of the machines of the East whose original prototype goes back nevertheless to 1915. In fact in front of the increase in the traffic ore tanker, the lack of power of the ''' Consolidation ''' and the urgency of the situation it was to decide to reproduce the Decapod armistice but with improvements. The series was registered 1-150 E 1 to 195 by the SNCF but because of the hostilities 4 machines were lost ( 1-150 E 69,98,158 and 187 ).
On the State
In spite of the results obtained after these tests the Compagnie of the state railways ordered a series of 10 machines which were registered 150001 to 150010 then 3-150 has 1 to 10 . Because of Second world war 2 machines ex-State were lost, the 8 surviving ones were transferred to the area Is in 1949 where they were réimmatriculées 1-150 E 196 to 203 . On the East, with Decapod armistice as on the State they monopolized the trailer of the ore trains and the heavy trains of goods.
Their deposits was: Mohon, Conflans-Jarny, Pagny-sur-Moselle, Longuyon, Audun-the-Novel, Lumes, Vairy, Conflans, Baroncourt, Neufchâteau and Châlons. The series was deadened for on January 26th 1963 with the 1-150 E 173 .
Description
These Decapod had a motor three cylinders with simple expansion and the distribution was of the type “Walschaerts”. The hearth was a hearth “Crampton” with flat sky and narrow grid. The exhaust was a clover with 3 jets with a chimney with capital of the type “PO”. Some of them were equipped thereafter with a clover with 6 jets of the type “Bourges” with a normal chimney. The Bissel had a side displacement of approximately 150 mm and was of the type “Is”. A characteristic of these machines is due to the fact that contrary to the Decapod of German origin the last driving Essieu did not have side displacement but the third driving axle was stripped of Boudin and the second and fourth driving axles had reduced rolls. Starting from 1945 the series was equipped with screens scented of 4 different models with including 1 for the machines equipped with the exhaust “Bourges” and the 3 others recovered on 140 Is 4003 to 4175 (future: 1-140 has 3 to 175 ) reformed. The machines of the ex- Compagnie of the state railways as for them were still provided with another type. Among those equipped with the exhaust “Bourges” 6 machines were selected to receive a stoker of the type “HT 1”; they were the 1-150 E 8,23,107,148,167 and 183 .
Tender
The attachment side tender was of the type “TI (tender interchangable)” and the platform of the type “Mestre”. In spite of this attachment they were never harnessed with the tenders of 35 m ² ( 1-35 has 1 to 82 , 1-35 B 101 to 113 and 1-35 C 1 to 49 ) nor to the 1-36 has 1 and very seldom with the 1-32 has 1 to 25 and 1-32 B 26 to 50 whose machines were especially those speed. Ultimately it were harnessed with:
- tenders with Bogie S coming from the transformation old tenders of the 140-101 to 370 State (future: 1-140 C between 101 and 370 and 1 and 70 ) whose water capacity was carried 18 m ³ to 21 m ³ and that out of coal of 5 T to 7 T which were registered 21001 to 21010 then 1-21 F 1 to 10 for totality
- tenders with bogie containing 22,4 m ³ water and 8 T of coal which were registered 22001 to 22100 then 1-22 B 1 to 100 for totality
- tenders with bogie containing 22,4 m ³ water and 8 T of coal ex-State which were registered 22101 to 22110 then 3-22 E 1 to 10 then 1-22 B 101 to 110 for totality
- tenders with bogie coming from the transformation old tenders of the 231 numbers 31001 to 31040 (future: 1-231 B 1 to 40 ) whose water capacity was carried 22 m ³ to 25,4 m ³ and that out of coal of 8 T to 10 T which were registered 25001 to 25040 then 1-25 has 1 to 40 for totality
- tenders with bogie containing 26,6 m ³ water and 7 T of coal which were registered 25041 to 25094 then 1-25 C 41 to 94 to some extent
- tenders with bogie coming from the old transformation tenders of the type 1-22 B or 1-25 C whose identical frame was preserved but the case changed by one studied by the division of the studies of engines (LED) containing 25 m ³ water and 9,5 T of coal which were registered 1-25 E 130,132 and 134 for the 3 units
