Africa

  • September 4th: Treated Alcaçovas between the Portugal and the Castille, which ratifies the Portuguese domination on the African coasts and the Atlantiques islands, except the the Canaries.

  • the Fleming Eustace Delafosse, who adulterated for his account the Malaguette and the slaves in Guinea, is hailed by the Portuguese of Diogo Cão with Minas. Brought back to the Portugal, it is condemned with his companions to be hung (1480). He manages to escape and gain Tolède, then Bruges in February 1481.

Asia

  • Djakhar Batou-mongkè, in other words Dayan Khan is proclaimed emperor of the Mongolian Eastern (end in 1488). He marries his adoptive mother, Mantougaï-katoun, and with the support of a group of feudal, succeeds in extending its capacity on most of the Mongolia, except the khanat Oïrat.

Europe

  • January 20th: Beginning of the reign of Ferdinand II the Catholic (1452 - 1516), king of Aragon and Sicily.

  • September 4th: Peace of Alcacovas following the victory of Isabelle the Catholic over Alphonse V of Portugal.
    • the peace of Alcacovas devotes the personal and dynastic union of the Castille and the Aragon which keep their constitution initially: Ferdinand grants an absolute right on Aragon to Isabelle (practical of the joint government). The two husbands take the title of Kings Catholiques of Spain.

  • the Sicily returns to the Couronne of Aragon.
  • the Corsica is withdrawn from the Royaume of Sardinia, dominated by the Royaume of Aragon.

France

  • June 24th - June 29th: Popular revolt with Dijon. Louis XI is able there to receive the oath of its new subjects (July 31st).
  • August 7th: Louis XI, which tried to seize the Burgundian heritage, is beaten with the Bataille of Guinegate by Maximilien of Austria, son-in-law of the Bold one. Marie of Burgundy preserves the Flanders.

  • Creation of the congregation of Chezal Benoit.

Central Europe & Balkans

  • January 24th: Peace signed between Venice and Othoman. It loses Nègrepont (Eubée), Argos and some other places of the Aegean Sea and must pay a tribute of 10  000 ducats to have the right to adulterate in Ionian Sea and Aegean Sea.
  • March 25th: Catch of the Albanian fortress of Shkodra (Scutari). The Turks are Masters of the Albania, except Durazzo which remains Venetian.

  • Failure of a Turkish unloading with Rhodos.
  • the Hungarian chancellor Johann Beckensloer, scrambled with Mathias Corvin, takes refuge near the emperor Frederic III which appoints it administrator of évêché of Vienna and coadjutor of the bishop of Salzburg.
