  • Establishment of the Empire INCA with the Peru. Beginning of the reign of the emperor Pachacuti INCA (fine in 1471).

  • Pachacutec succeeds his/her father Viracocha. It establishes its capital with Cuzco, which it transforms into planned metropolis.
    • fast Expansion of the INCA empire which becomes a powerful centralized State. The company is organized on a pyramidal model. At the top is the “ Sapa INCA ”, god alive, absolute monarch of the religious, political and military fields. Below, an aristocracy, often the family and the allies, provides advisers and governors of province.

  • January 10th: Beginning of the Council of Ferrare-Florence (fine in 1445) opposed to that of Basle. He declares null all the decisions taken by the Concile of Basle. This one suspends the pope and takes in hand the government of the Church (January 24th). Eugene IV excommunicates the fathers of the Concile of Basle (February 15th).
  • March 6th: The Swedes name a new regent ( marsk ), Karl Knutsson Bonde, assisted drot (seneshal) Krister Nilsson Vasa. The Union of Kalmar does not exist any more but on paper. Eric de Poméranie prepares to invade the Sweden starting from Gotland while the Council of the kingdom of Sweden and the Council of the Denmark get along against him.

  • July 7th: Promulgation of the Pragmatic Sanction of Bourges. France guarantees by freedoms gallicanes, freedoms of the national Church against papacy.

    • Reorganization of the Church obtained by the king of the assembly of the clergy of France without pontifical authorization.   • January 1st: Albert II of Habsbourg is crowned king of Hungary.
