Asia
- Beginning of the voyages of the Admiral Chinese Eunuque Zheng He towards the Indonesia, the India, the Arabia and the east coast of the Africa (until in 1433). It carries out seven forwardings which lead to the naval hegemony of China on the seas of the Probe and the Indian Ocean (1405-1424): Champa, Kampuchea, Siam, Malacca, Java, Sumatra, Ceylon, Bengal and southernmost India. The Chinese squadrons are present at Ormuz, Aden and Djedda. Twice, the fleet touches the Eastern coast of the Africa.

- April 3rd:
- Died of Tamerlan, decline of the Empire timuride.
- Beginning of the reign of Shah Rukh Mirza, Persian sultan timouride of (fine in 1447).
- Ahmat Djalaïr, former Mongolian governor, is restored with Baghdad with died of Tamerlan.

Sigismond of Hungary is constrained to publish a Gold Bubble increasing the privileges of the nobility, granting the right of justice to him on the tenants, the increase in the country royalties, the right for the owners of the mines to exploit them themselves, whereas they were up to that point royal monopoly.

- According to the accounts, the largest Chinese ships exceed 122 m length. In 1957, excavations led on the site of the shipyard of the fleet of Zheng He put at the day a deck-beam Gouvernail out of 11 m length wood, which corresponds to a ship from 146 to 160 m length.
