  • In Mongolia, Ugetchi, chief of the tribe of Kergud (Kyrgyz), tries to establish its hegemony on the Mongolian tribes and revolts against the emperor Tebek, who is détrôné and killed. Ugetchi seizes Karakorum and the central capacity in 1399. Little time after its advent, it is overcome by Arouktaï, chief of the Ossètes, and Mahmoud, chief of the Oïrats.

  • Tamerlan leaves the India S by destroying all on its passage. It takes Firuzabad (January 1st), Meerut (January 9th) then overcomes again the Hindou S. It takes Kangra (January 16th) and ransacks Jammu. Everywhere, he massacres the inhabitants. He crosses the Indus the March 19th while leaving to represent it Malik Sulaymân, Afghan who claims itself going down from the prophet ( sayyid ), to which succeeds his son Khizir Khan.
  • the Sultanate of Delhi, weakened, loses a great number of its vassal Moslems who declare themselves independent.

Europe

  • August 12th, Russia: Vitold of Lithuania is overcome by the Tatars on the Vorskla, an affluent of the Dniepr. The extension of the Lithuania to the east is blocked.
  • September 30th: Bolingbroke Henry of Lancaster, wire of Jean of Ghent and chief of the feudal opposition, deposits Richard II, becomes king under the name of Henry IV (until in 1413) and founds the house of the Lancaster ( Lancaster ).
    • Whereas his/her cousin Richard II is in forwarding in Ireland, Henry returns of exile to claim its hereditary land rights.
