- the first emperor Ming Hongwu refuses to receive a Japanese ambassador.
Europe
- February 18th: Baptism and marriage of Jagellon ( Jagiello ) with Hedwige Anger of Poland. It becomes Ladislas II Jagellon (fine in 1434). It tries to unify the Poland and the Lithuania. It must subdue the turbulent Polish nobility and évangéliser Lithuania. Poland can make failure with progress of the germanism (1410).
- February 24th:
- Charles of Lasted is assassinated at the instigation of the widow of the king of Hungary. His/her son Ladislas Magnanime succeeds to him as king de Naples until in 1414 but will have to face his candidate Louis II of Anjou.
- Marie Ire of Hungary goes up on the throne of Hungary after the assassination of Charles of Lasted after 39 days of reign in Hungary.
- March 4th: Crown Ladislas II Jagellon, king de Pologne.
- the kingdom of the Jagellon includes/understands the Poland, the Lithuania, the Bielorussia and most of the Ukraine. It is the first power of Eastern Europe.
- the statute of 1386 grants to the Lithuanian boyards the equality with noble Polish provided that they are catholic.
- May 9th: Alliance of the Portugal and England concluded by Jean Ier from Portugal to Windsor. This alliance is always in force.
- July 9th: Léopold III of Habsbourg is overcome and killed by confederated the Suisse S with the Bataille of Sempach.
- Guillaume and Léopold IV of Habsbourg become dukes of Styrie (fine in 1411).
- August 20th: Died of the large seneshal Bo Jonsson Grip ( drot ) of Sweden, tyrannical and dreaded character. The king Albrecht de Mecklembourg decides to control personally. He strips the Swedish nobility of certain special fiscal advantages. This one bucks, not being able to accept the requirements of a sovereign hated like foreigner.
- September 23rd: Mircea Old the (Mircea concealment Batrin) becomes voïévode of Valachie (fine in 1418).
- Venice reconquers Corfou.
- Murat Ier occupies Salonique.
- Jean of Ghent invades the Castille but is overcome by the king Jean Ier, and gives up its claims on the territory in 1387, date on which his/her daughter marries the future king, Henri III of Castille.
- Failure of the seat of Brest, then with the hands of the English, by Jean IV of Brittany.

- Jean Froissart, canon of Chimay since 1384, traverses the England (1394 - 1395) and several countries of the continent, while continuing to write its chronicle.
