Events

  • Fine of the revolt of Bar-Kokheba in Judaea (be). This last is killed with Béthar in the fortress where it had taken refuge (December). The Jews are again dispersed in all the Roman empire.

    • New bag of Jerusalem, which is replaced by a Roman colony veterans (Aelia Capitolina). A furnace bridge with Jupiter is set up with the site of the Temple. The Juifs are prohibited of stay in the area around the city.

  • Died under the torture of the Jewish doctor Rabbi Akiva (v. 50-135). Many scholars are stopped and tortured. Does rabbi Shimon Bar Yochaï, disciple of Akiba, take refuge in a cave, saw (twelve years?) as a hermit then a school is due to Tekoa (the tradition allots to him the drafting of the Zohar). The surviving members of the Sanhédrin leave Yabneh for Usha, as a Galileo, directed by the new patriarch Rabban Siméon Ben Gamaliel. Many a pharisees emigrates with Babylon where they join the diaspora.
