- April 30th: Died of Jean III, duke of Brittany, without direct heir. Conflict around its succession between his/her niece, Jeanne de Penthièvre, woman of Charles of Blois and his half-brother, Jean de Montfort, which will lead to the War of succession of Brittany.

- Civil war with died of Andronic III Paleologist: Jean Cantacuzène, regent of Jean V, wire minor of Andronic, is relieved by the Anne tutor of Savoy and raises an army against it, supported by the land aristocracy from which he is resulting.
