- Beginning of the reign of Mubarak, sultan of Delhi.
- January 2nd: Malik Kafur tries to succeed Ala Aldine Khiji after having perhaps poisoned it. But he is decapitated by the Türk guards faithful to his son. Mubarak then exerts regency for his/her young brother, designated as sultan, then makes him burst the eyes and seizes the throne (April).
- Mubarak removes the repressive edicts of his/her father, releases the prisoners, returns the grounds to their owners, which makes it popular. It carries out nevertheless a life of debauchery, leaving the authority to its Hindu favorite of origin Khusrav Khan.
