  • Empire of Mali:
    • Aboubakri II (Abubakar II) dies, according to the legend, with the head of a forwarding of 2000 dugouts launched with an aim “of reaching the other end of the ocean”. Certain authors supposed that it could reach the America, but nothing makes it possible to support this assumption.
