129e regiment of infantry of line

The 129e Régiment of Infanterie of line (or 129e IH) is a regiment made up under the First Empire.

Creation and various denominations

  • 1793 : creation of the 129e Half-brigade of battle , starting from the 1st battalion of the 70 {{E}} Régiment of Infantry, with which are associated 1st and 2nd battalions with volunteers of Herault
  • 1796: poured in the 32 {{E}} Half-Brigade of Infantry of Line.
  • 1811 : creation 129e Regiment of Infantry of line at the time of the annexation of the western dimensions northern of the Germany, starting from the Regiment of Oldenbourg and détachments of Westphalian guards (Royal Guard and hunters), of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th regiments of infantry of line Westphalian and the 1st battalion of Westphalian light infantry.
  • 1813 : dissolution and incorporation within the 127 {{E}} and 128 {{E}} Regiments of Infantry of Line.
  • 1914 : At the mobilization, it sets up its regiment of reserve, the 329 {{E}} Régiment of Infantry
