- Mars - September: Second reign of Mubarak Shah, khan of Djaghataï under the regency of his/her mother Orghana Qatun.
- September: Beginning of the reign of Barak, (end in 1271).
- With died of Alghu, Orghana puts on the throne Mubarak Chah, wire which it had had of Kara Hülegü. Kubilai Khan, offended by the fact that he was not consulted, deposits Mubarak and invests Barak, great-grandson of Djaghataï. Once installed, Barak, which seized the army of its predecessor, proclaims the independence of the Khanat de Djaghataï and puts in escape the troops of Kubilai Khan.
