- the teutonic Chevaliers found a fortress which is at the origin of the town of Königsberg (today Kaliningrad, in Russia).
- the archbishop's palace of Rīga becomes the metropolis of the Prussia.
- With died of Batu to Saraï, Sartak, his/her son and designated successor, remains then at large the khan Möngke with Karakorum in the capacity as plenipotentiary. Möngke names it with the head of the oulous Kiptchak, but he dies abruptly and it is his/her son, Ulakchi, which are designated like khan Horde of Gold under the regency of Boraktchik, widow of Batu (fine in 1257).
