122e regiment of infantry of line
The 122e Régiment of Infanterie of line (or 122e IH) is a regiment made up under the First Empire.
Creation and various denominations
- 1794 : creation of the 122e Half-Brigade of Battle , starting from the 2nd battalion of the ''' 61 {{E}} Régiment of Infantry ''', with which the are associated 6th and 7th battalions with volunteers of Dimension-Maritime the , then by in 1795 2nd and 3rd battalions of volunteers of the Haute-Garonne .
- 1796 : poured in the ''' 57 {{E}} Half-Brigade of Infantry of Line '''
- 1809: creation of the 122e Regiment of Infantry of line from 3rd and 4th battalions of the 3elégion of reserve and the 4th battalions of 4th and 5th.
- 1914 : At the mobilization, it sets up its regiment of reserve, the 322 {{E}} Régiment of Infantry

From 1945 to our days
Old the 122e Régiment of Infantry left place in 1985 in the center of drive of the infantry to the operational shooting (CEITO). The national camp of Larzac is today the European window of French know-how as regards evaluation with the operational shooting.The CEITO is organized around the Management of the Drive and the Evaluations to the Operational Shooting (DEETO), which manages the major mission of the center. In order to assist it in this mission, the center comprises a company of support which gathers all the personnel working in the services responsible for the following fields: human resources, administration and accountancy, data processing, the technical support (mechanical…), the maintenance of the infrastructure, restoration, the Cynotechnie, the combat of infantry, fire protection, the ancillary medical one.
Material (specific CEITO):
600 targets moving (on rail and/or remote-controlled), data-processing network of evaluation of the shootings on courses of drive (3200 ha), possibilities of shootings missiles, shootings of night, etc
