122 Leadenhall
The 122 Leadenhall is a project of Gratte-ciel of offices which should be located in the district of businesses of City with London (the United Kingdom).
Of a 225 meters height and 48 stages, this project of building was conceived by the Architecte Richard Rogers. Its construction began in October 2007 and should be completed in the first quarter 2011. It will be then the most building of London until the construction of the Bishopsgate Tower (of which the height should be 288 m). Because of its prismatic form, it was called the Cheese Grater (the grater with cheese).
The principal frontage (southern frontage) of the tower to the shape of a frayed prism. It is entirely glazed what makes visible the metal structure. The northern frontage is designed as a detached tower which will include/understand in particular ascenceurs external. The tower is framed by a structure in form of scale which reinforces the impression of verticality while encrant the building in the ground. The first levels are open in order to offer an atrium a 30 m height which will be accessible to the public.
