- February 16th: Catch of Bukhara.
- the Mongolian of Gengis Khan burn and shave Bukhara (February 16th), Samarkand (March) and Harat. Ogodeï, Djaghataï and Djötchi takes Gourandj, the capital of the Khârezm. They destroy the dams of the Amou-Daria to submerge the city and massacre the population of it. Muhammad Shah, incompetent to join together his forces divided between the feudal ones, flees with Ray, then with Hamadan. Sax Grammaticus, Danish scholar (v. 1150-v. 1220). It made its studies with Paris and belongs to the entourage of the archbishop of Lund Absalon, which ordered to him the drafting of the Gesta Danorum .
