mortal Christmas (France) or Homer with the red nose (Quebec), so known under the name Simpson: Special of Christmas ( Simpsons Roasting one Open year Fire or The Simpsons Christmas Special in the original version) is the first episode not court of the Televised series of Animation Simpson to be diffused even if it were the eighth episode produced for the first season. He was written by Mimi Pond and carried out by David Silverman

Anecdotes

  • the credits of the usual beginning of the series does not form part of this episode, it was added in the second episode because Matt Groening was said that to make longer credits would result to make less animation.
  • the sequence where the class of LISA personifies the “Father Christmas of the whole world” is based on a true experiment of Matt Groening whereas it was in second year and that it was to make a report on Christmas in Russia. He also used this reference in his band-drawn Life in Hell , in which an young man is made say that his/her grandmother originating in Russia is not lucky since Christmas is illegal in this country.
  • When LISA personifies Tawanga, the Father Christmas of the South Seas, its costume because some problems with the critics, in the audio comments of the DVD of the integral of the first season , one learns that it carries a combination.
