The eleventh stage of the Tour of Italy 2006 took place the May 18th 2006. It was about a against-the-watch individual of 50 km around the town of Pontedera. It is Jan Ullrich which carries it with the general surprise, because since the beginning of this Turn of Italy it showed large difficulties of following the rate/rhythm of the race. Nevertheless, it shows by this success that he is still a potential candidate with the victory for the Tour de France.
