With the Japan, beginning of the Period Kamakura (fine in 1333).
- August 21st: Minamoto No Yoritomo is named chief of the soldiers and creates the government shôgunal which will remain the imperial institution parallel to during 7 centuries. The court remains, impotent but always officially respected, in Heian (Kyôto) until in 1868.
- Prithivîrâja is overcome and Mahmud de Ghor (Muhammad de Ghur) seizes Delhi, in India.
- Victoire with Thanesar of Qutub AD-DIN Aïbak, Turkish slave of Muhammad Ghori, Turkish sultan of Ghôr and Ghazni on the army Rajput of Prithivîrâja, king of Ajmer which is put at death. North East of India is dominated by the Moslems.
- Muhammad Ghori occupies Ajmer and Delhi and intervenes in the valley of the Gange. Its lieutenant Muhammad ibn Bakhtiyar Khaldji easily conquers the Bihar and the Bengal.
The Middle East
- Reign of Kay Khüsraw Ier sultan Saljûqide of Rum (1192 - 1196 and 1204 - 1210). Since the death of Qilij Arslan II (1190), its twelve sons dispute the capacity and the civil war devastates the sultanate of Rum.
- the caliph `Abbasside Nasir eliminates the last Saljûqides from Iraq and Iran by calling upon the sovereign aralien Khârezm.
- April 5th: Revolt Greek polulation of Cyprus against the Templiers.
- April 28th: Assassination of Conrad de Montferrat by two Ismaëliens. Beginning of the reign of Henri II of Champagne, king of Jerusalem (fine in 1197).
- May 5th: Henri II of Champagne wife the queen Isabelle of Jerusalem, widow of Conrad de Montferrat.
- August: Richard lion-hearted takes Jaffa but fails in front of Jerusalem.
- September 2nd: By the Peace of Ramlah, Saladin guard Jerusalem but recognizes the Christian kingdom of Acre. Richard lion-hearted concluded a truce from three years with Saladin, and the access of the pilgrim S to Jerusalem, just as with the Moslems going with Mecque. Ascalon, dismantled, is delivered to Saladin, but the Francs keep the coast of Tyr to Jaffa.
- October 9th: Departure of Richard lion-hearted.

- May 5th: Léopold V of Babenberg obtains the Styrie of the Germanic emperor with died of the duke Ottokar IV.
- June 21st: Beginning of the magistrature of Enrico Dandolo, doge of Venice (fine in 1205).
- December: Richard lion-hearted is captured by Léopold V of Babenberg at the time of its return of crusade and is given to the emperor Henri VI.

- Henri the Lion again in vain tries to take again its duchies (end in 1194).
