Saladin, with reduced forces, attacks the principalities of north: a sicilian fleet prevents it from besieging Tripoli, but Antioche, encircled, concludes a truce from eight month. The cross establishments are reduced to Tyr and Beaufort for the kingdom of Jerusalem, and in North with Tripoli, the Krak of the Knights, Antioche and the Forteresse of Margat.
July: Saladin gives in freedom Guy de Lusignan, after him to have made solemnly swear not to take the weapons against the Moslems more.

Strong dryness in France which causes many fires (Tours, Chartres, Beauvais, Auxerre, Troyes).
