The Middle East

  • Pisa obtains a commercial treaty of the caliph Fatimide Az-Zafir: it ensures to him the pleasure of a fondaco (warehouse) with Alexandria and the Cairo, freedom to sell in all the country after payment of the taxes and removes the old system of the collective responsibility which allowed the capacity to prevail against the compatriots from any faulty abroad.
