  • February 15th: The emperor of the Germanic Roman Holy roman Empire Conrad III dies in Bamberg, without to have been able to be crowned in Italy, nor to leave the kingdom of Germany to his/her son.

  • March 4th: Election of Frederic Ier, Germanic Roman Emperor (fine of reign in 1190).
