The Middle East

  • Reign of Al-Amir, caliph Fatimide (fine in 1154).
  • the sultan saljûqide Barkyaruq enters in force Baghdad ( April), which it again loses in September, overcome by the coalition of two of his/her brothers. Barkyaruq takes again possession of the city for a few days, but is again évincé by it in October. In December an agreement is reached which restores the city to him. During these fratricidal fights, the Francs can consolidate their presence in Syria-Palestine.

  • the cross of Baudouin Ier of Jerusalem take Arsur and Césarée.

  • Arrived many frank crusaders with Constantinople at spring. The crossing of the Anatolia prohibited with is crossed by the sultan of Rum Kilitch-Arslan.
