Events

  • Beginning of the Pontificate of Alexandre Ier. (end in 115).

  • Second War of Trajan in Dacie (105 - 106). Décébale opens the hostilities. Trajan leaves Rome the June 4th, pushes back an offensive dace on bottom the Danube, enters in Transylvania, probably by the collar of Turn-Red, while, left the Danube means, its lieutenants advance simultaneously by the west. Trajan besieges Sarmizegetusa in summer. The city falls, and Décébale is made prisoner;
  • Construction of the Files of Dacie: files of the mounts Meszes in the North-West (stone wall, palisades, cuttings off, turns of wood with stone foundation, castle forts behind); files river of the Szamos in north; files of the Carpates (strong barring the roads of invasions); line of the Temmes in the west, line of the Aluta in the east.

  • the annexation of the Dacie brings much gold to Rome, which makes it possible to restore finances;
  • Destruction of Pétra.
