.rs

.rs is the national Domaine of first level (country code signal level domain: ccTLD ) of the Serbia.

After decision (dated September 26th, 2006) by the committee ISO 3166 to allocate RS like codes ISO 3166-1 alpha 2 for Serbia, IANA assigned .rs like ccTLD for this country. This decision was made following separation, in June 2006, of the Communauté of States Serbia-and-Montenegro in two distinct States. The code of two letters RS, and that lately allotted to the republic of the Montenegro (code with two letters ME), replace thus the code YU, previously allotted when the two countries did only one of them.
