.45 Colt
The cartridge .45 Colt (also called .45 Long Colt) was presented by the firm Colt in 1873 for famous the Individual Colt Action more known Army under the name of Peacemaker (Pacificatory).
The army of the the United States adopted this cartridge in 1875, it remained in service up to 1892, when it was replaced by the .38 Long Colt. The army of the United States briefly returned to the .45 Colt in 1902 for the operations to Philippines. It was definitively replaced in 1911 during the introduction of the new semi-automatic guns M1911 confined in .45 ACP STATES.
