  • April 21st: Foundation of Rome by Romulus and Remus according to the tradition. This event will constitute year I of the Roman Calendrier: ab Urbe condita .
  • the two boys given up by their uncle, were made put in a wicker basket and a she-wolf collected them and nursed them. Later they had the idea to found a city. But they did not know which would reign on the city then, they asked a sign of the sky to know which would reign on the city, Remus saw 6 vultures but Romulus saw 12 of them! At this point in time the beginning of the reign of Romulus, king de Rome (fine in -715)
  • Romulus kills his/her Remus brother, who would have by derision crosses the virtual wall that it had traced of his plow ( pomerium ), adding “Thus perishes whoever will cross these ramparts”. Romulus fights the close tribes victoriously (Céniniens, Antemnates and Sabins). The king of the Sabins Titus Tatius division capacity with him after the Removal of Sabines and the war which follows. The name of the city thus comes from Romulus.
