  • Fine of the reign of Taharqa.

  • Tanwetamani (Tanoutamon) succeeds his/her uncle Taharqa like Pharaon with Napata and reconquers the Egypt. The prince of Know Néchao is killed in front of Memphis. The Assyrian make volte-face and destroy Thèbes (-663) putting fine at. The inhabitants of the city are reduced in slavery. The pontiff of Thèbes, Montouemhêt, reorganizes the province, but the city loses its role of political center. Two years later, Tanwetamani re-occupies Thébaïde.
