First war crowned (595 - 586 front J. - C.), according to the tradition, between the Phocide and Thèbes for the control of the sanctuary of Delphes. Phocidiens are demolished after ten years of war (destruction of Krissa, which controlled the access to the sanctuary). This war, which is not attested, could reflect conflicts of interests and the transfer of the control of the sanctuary of a local community to a Amphictyonie, which would correspond to the installation of the first panhellenic institutions.
