Africa

  • Tour of the suffète Carthaginian Hannon in Guinea (-530 /-470). It founds six colonies gathering nearly a thousand of people along the African coast and explores two rivers, perhaps the Gambia and the Senegal.
    • If the voyage of Hannon is not attested, it is extremely probable that an important gold traffic took place between Senegal and the Carthaginian counters of the Atlantic littoral.
