Events

  • In China, beginning of the reign of the duke Xiao, Qin. The legist Shang Yang, originating in Wei, becomes its principal minister. The kingdom of Qin is then considered by the other Chinese kingdoms country latecomer and with barbarian half. The sacrifice of winter will be accomplished for the first time at Qin only in -326.   • On the authorities of Dion, Denys the Young person and Archytas, Plato undertakes a third voyage to Syracuse (v.361/-359) to try to reconcile Dion and Denys. Its efforts fail.

  • In the hope to prevent Dion from gathering mercenaries to seize the power, Denys deprives it of its goods. To humiliate it, it obliges his sister to divorce Dion and to take a new husband.
