• Hérode Large the, king of Judaea, having overcome the Nabatéens, meets Octave with Rhodos after its victory with Actium. Octave confirms the royalty of Hérode (spring) and restores to him the area of Jericho to which he adds Gadara, Hippus, Samarie, Gaza, Anthédon, Joppé and the tower of Straton.

• Hérode makes perish the last family members asmonéenne: Hyrcan II (- 30) then its wife Mariamne (-29); and his/her mother Alexandra (v. -28). The death of Mariamne, the only one of his ten wives whom he loved, marked inaccuracy by Salome, the sister of Hérode, overpowers the king of sorrow and leaves it at the edge of the madness.

• In -21, Amanichakété, Candace (queen) of Méroé, takes refuge in Barra, in the kingdom of Aksoum, but Caïus Petronius continues its offensive. It must be folded up shortly after, but peace is signed between Auguste and the candace.

• the dynasty Kanva disappears, victim of the kingdom of the Andhra of the Dekkan and thorough the indo-Scythian.
• the dynasty of the Satvahana reaches the capacity in Dekkan.
