- the pirates It NS of the queen Teuta attack the town of Epidamne and put the hand on Corcyre. Rome sends a military forwarding which constrained the Teuta queen to capitulate and yield to Démétrios de Pharos part of its States. The kingdom of Démétrios thus created, Greek cities of the coast - Epidamne, Apollonia, Oricos - islands of Corcyre and Issa, some cruel people of the vicinity - Parthiniens, Atintans- pass under Roman protectorate (-228). Rome controls the ways connecting the Balkans and Italy. It also seizes Altintania (low valley of the Aôos), starting point of the road of Macedonia.

Beginning of the reign of Antigonos III Doson, king of Macedonia (fine in -221). It restores the Macedonian influence in the Peloponnese where it is called by the Achaens, anxious revolutionary reforms of Lacédémonien Cléomène III (-227). Perhaps it accepts the constitution of a koinon (league) of the Macedonians, which must to a certain extent to limit its absolutism.
