  • Sixth war of Syria: Antiochos {{IV}} Épiphane invades the Egypt, little time after the death of his/her sister Cléopâtre {{Ire}}, and made captive its nephew Ptolémée {{VI}} '' Philométor ''. The inhabitants of Alexandria revolt and indicate as king Ptolémée {{VIII}} '' Évergète {{II}} '', known as Bouffi ( Physcon ), the young brother of Ptolémée VII.

  • Reign in Nubie of Shanak-Dekhete, Candace of Méroé (towards -170/-160). It is the first of several women who will control the kingdom of Méroé by allotting the royal titles.
