In Judaea, Jean Hyrcan {{Ier}} besieges Samarie. The Samaritans call upon Antiochos {{IX}}, which beaten first once close to Scythopolis (Beth-Shéan), returns with the Egyptian soldiers of Ptolémée {{IX}} Lathyre, without any decisive result. The Jewish troops occupy Scythopolis and the valley of Esdrelon. After one year of seat, Jean Hyrcan seizes Samarie which it shaves completely. This destruction, after that of the Mount Garizim, mark the final rupture enters the Juifs and the Samaritains.
