(3078) Horrocks
The Astéroïde (3078) Horrocks was thus baptized in homage to Jeremiah Horrocks, Astronome English (1619? - 1641).
One owes him in particular the observation of Venus the Transit of the December 4th 1639 and the precise determination of the movement of the Moon.
