The word have (愛) means love in Japanese and as well love as to like in Chinese Mandarin.

Even if the word have can be used to define the love which one carries to a person, it is of a use much less running. It is reserved for an intense love. For the remainder, the Japanese will prefer “suki to him” which also means to like, but to a lesser extent (or “daisuki” which means to adore). It will be also noted that Suki or Daisuki can get busy between in love giving more “nice” romanticism to point out the time of the beginning of the love affair.
